Joe Wislar is a biostatistician with Analytics and Publication. In this role he provides expert statistical and methodological support to the Institute. He conducts analyses for a variety of research projects at the Institute affecting policy, public health and dental clinics. Some current projects include survival analysis, cost-effectiveness analysis, analysis of survey data and analysis of big data from Medicaid files.
Prior to joining the Analytics and Publication team, he was the primary statistical reviewer for a top general medical journal, and has over 20 years of health care research experience. He has authored or co-authored over 20 peer-reviewed publications and has expertise in survey design and analysis. He has an MS in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from the University of Illinois at Chicago, School of Public Health.
